Abstract lacquer painting

Tran Cong Dung, born in 1969 in Tuyen Quang, now lives and works in Hanoi. Starting to make a major mark by sculpture lacquer painting of bicycles, Tran Cong Dung is gradually familiar to the art lovers in Vietnam by artworks showing simple existing things in the life through not only shrewd thoughts but also funny styles with new and unique languages. His artworks consist of diverse types and materials such as lacquer, wood carving, sculpture and ceramic… With each material, Tran Cong Dung shows his virtually unlimited creativeness with his versatile talent.
