Vuong Van Thao is a famous artist who practices a variety of materials from painting to sculpture. His topics are often tangible and intangible cultural heritage fossils frozen in blocks of amber. With this project, he participated in an installation of 36 ceramic plates with a diameter of 30cm, interacting with the story of the ancient riverside pottery village - Bat Trang village. The work depicts the silhouettes of communal houses in Hanoi's old quarter broken into fragments and then reassembled with gold, like a reflection on cultural values lost in history and evokes the the question of this era's behavior with those heritage values.
